All wagers placed in Jagbet.com are not part of the track pari-mutuel odds, thus your bet will not affect the track odds. When placing a horse wager, you must clearly state the name of the track, the number of the race, the name of the horse(s) you wish to wager on, and the amount you wish to wager.
We pay full track odds on Win, Place and Show bets. We pay full tracks odds up to 300/1 on all exotics. The maximum payoffs on any race are: $25,000 on category A tracks, $10,000 on category B tracks, and $5,000 on category C tracks.
You will receive a read back stating the official time for the wager and the amount of the wager. For the wager to be official a confirmation is made by repeating your account number and password. All wagers should be made prior to post time. In case of any claim this will be replayed back to you from the tape recording.
Types of Wagers
Win
A bet to finish in first place.
Place Bet
Bet to finish first or second.
Show
Bet a horse to get third place.
Trifecta
A wager picking the first three finishers in exact order. Called a ‚Triactor‘ in Canada and a ‚Triple‘ in some parts of the U.S. (‚Tricast‘ in the UK.)
Trifecta Box
A trifecta wager in which all possible combinations using a given number of horses are bet upon. The total number of combinations can be calculated according to the formula (x3)-(3×2)+(2x), where x equals the amount of horses in the box. The sum of the formula is then multiplied by the amount wagered on each combination.
Exacta (Also, Perfecta)
A wager that picks the first two finishers in a race in the exact order of finish. (Straight Forecast in the UK.)
Exacta Box
A wager in which all possible combinations using a given number of horses are covered.
Superfecta
A wager that picks the first four finishers in a race in the exact order of finish.
Quinella
A type of wager in which the horses must finish first and second in either order.
Daily Double
Type of wager calling for the selection of winners of two consecutive races, usually the first and second.
Pick 3 (P3)
Type of wager calling for the selection of winners of three consecutive races.
Pick 4 (P4)
Type of wager calling for the selection of winners of four consecutive races.
Pick 6 (P6)
Type of wager calling for the selection of winners of six consecutive races
